@charlotteclymer it’s beyond me how they can say they aren’t sure it was a hate crime. If they shot up a synagogue, it would be clear it was a hate crime. How was this any different?!

@charlotteclymer There aren't enough of them left. Some places never had enough of them. Other places have seen them dwindle away as gay culture recenters itself online. It's long-term bad news.

@s_bosbach @charlotteclymer when I lived in Chattanooga we use to have 5 or 6 gay bars. All but 1 have closed down & the 1 that's left is frequented by more straight woman than gay people. When I was a regular it was a healthy mix of LGBT the mix was healthy & accepting of all. Last time i went it was a majority lesbians & most of the people where in their 20s rather than 30s & 40s. Which left older gay people that didn't want the club scene homless

@charlotteclymer University actors at the University of Evansville dedicated their final performance of Cabaret to victims of the recent shooting. The young person giving the dedication spoke as a queer trans person and dream to be able to go out in public without worrying about personal safety. Brought me to tears.
