By the time you are 30, you should be a moderator of at least 10 Discords and Mastodon instances, a third of which you later realize you're now the admin of because the original founder just assigned it to you before they walked into the woods never to return

More seriously folks, especially if you're on one of the new fast-growing instances, talk to your admin and offer specific help if you're willing.

Not "anything you need", go for specific actionables, like "I can help moderate". Moderation isn't super hard, just a small daily time drain where you read some emails (and sometimes see some real pieces of shit but then you get to bin them). Cash may be easier or harder for you and can also help a TON depending.

@glassbottommeg How about ending up as the defacto head of a WoW guild with no other members but a huge bank?
@glassbottommeg ya know, I respect the discord admins that just walk off into the woods and never return. They have the right idea lol.
@glassbottommeg You were never a real friend of that admin if he doesn't invite you to the cabin in the woods.
@glassbottommeg By 35, you should have walked into the woods, having passed it on to someone under 30 by saying, "I am not the real Dread Pirate Roberts."
@ellenjurik @glassbottommeg Sweet, I've aged out and can just live in the woods with my animal friends. :)
