Indeed, compared with Twitter, my experience here has been a total breath of fresh air. I've already found far more and more interesting accounts to follow than I ever found on Twitter.
Whether Twitter survives or not, I certainly won't be leaving this place!
@Richard_Littler The good thing about this place is that if a load of extremists flock over here then the server admins can boot them, or if they choose not to then we can just block whatever server they are on.
I don't mind hearing alternative views (I think it's important) but alternative views are one thing, and grifting/trolling/bigotry is another, and Mastodon has the tools to deal with that quite nicely.
