I #Boost a post if I think others might find it of value, and I might #Like it at the same time.

If I only #Like it it's to thank the Poster/Tooter/Publisher for their comment, but feel it only has appeal to me.

@Manny recognizing that this may not be 100% accurate, I still take extreme pleasure in the idea that the algorithm is OSS instead of some proprietary thing that is optimized to bring more $s to some company or person who definitely doesn’t have my or my community’s best interest in mind

On Facebook briefly last night I literally had to scroll through 20 ads and things some such company thought I’d be interested in before I found a post from a friend
