This shooting was stopped by a couple of unarmed bystanders who were unwilling to die quietly.

@SMFulton3 @charlotteclymer Yes. It is considered good courtesy (...not a requirement!) to use CW (Content Wrappers) for anything that might be triggering. Think of it as a headline.
Also consider include a #USPol hashtag if it is about US Politics so it can be located by those are interested and filtered by those who are not.
GOP recipe:
1- flood the streets with guns
2- flood the media with hateful rhetoric
3- agitate thoroughly
They don't need a warning.
They know this will happen because it's by design.

IMHO:
To get ahead of this, we need to start treating this as a feature, not a bug.
No amount of warning the GOP will work.
Why? Because they are strategically inciting it.
They have flooded the streets with guns.
They have systematically & legislatively demonized minorities & women.
They can't be shamed because, this is a success for them.
Today, the elected officials will do what they do after a school shooting. Distance themselves to CYA...but the hateful, demonizing rhetoric will continue.

@charlotteclymer Yeah I had a debate with someone on bird site about this. Free speech is a stupid idea. We need to crack down severely on harmful rhetoric.
There's a difference between someone criticizing government initiatives that fail to improve poverty (even if they're wrong), and people saying shit that turns people into bigoted psychopaths resulting in terrorism and human rights violations.
If you kill someone you go to jail, so if you say shit to kill people you should also go to jail.
