This mass shooting in Colorado Springs is horrifying and exactly what LGBTQ organizations and leaders have been warning would happen if the violent rhetoric toward our community continued. This is what happens when hateful propaganda goes unchecked.

@charlotteclymer What I'm hoping to see, Charlotte, in the wake of the #twittermigration , is an alteration in the texture of the public discourse. If we can stop elevating extremism above our own beliefs as a society, we may be able to neutralize the rhetoric which provokes people to commit these atrocities.

@SMFulton3 @charlotteclymer Yes. It is considered good courtesy (...not a requirement!) to use CW (Content Wrappers) for anything that might be triggering. Think of it as a headline.
Also consider include a #USPol hashtag if it is about US Politics so it can be located by those are interested and filtered by those who are not.
