Been trying out the other #mastadon apps this morning on #ios. Before I buy, does anyone know if Toot lets you edit your posts? I tried Metatext this morning and it’s doesn’t look like that’s a feature? But maybe I missed it.

@smrk interesting! Haven’t tried in Safari yet as I don’t tend to use Safari much for other things. Will see what it’s like in the other browser apps.

@Techlawyer I normally use my #Brave Browser. But in Safari you have the ability to „make“ an app (shortcut) out of an homepage.

When you are on you mastodon domain, tap the share button (a square with an upward arrow) near the top in Safari, followed by the Add to Home Screen option.

It‘s just a shortcut, but for me it‘s the best app.

@chrispix yeah, I saw that. The Mastadon app seems to have just straight ‘edit’ though which is great (especially for someone prone to typos like me 😊)

@Techlawyer from what I can tell, redraft has been around a few years, where edit is new in 2022, and maybe not visible in some clients yet since older clients wouldn’t understand it. Hopefully it’ll be ubiquitous soon.
