how does mastodon work
@RikerGoogling First rule about Mastodon Club is don’t talk about Mastodon Club.
@RikerGoogling what’s nice is that so many of us get to figure that out together 🥹
@RikerGoogling
It's anarchy, my robotic friend. Pure anarchy.
@RikerGoogling try turning it off, counting to ten, and turning it back on
@RikerGoogling when two servers really love each other...
@olavf @RikerGoogling 🤣🤣🤣 this is the correct answer

@RikerGoogling Our quantum destabilizer can breach the temporal anomaly by sending a tachyon pulse through the deflector dish using the warp core as a conversion matrix.

It's like feeding your cat a pastrami sandwich on rye.

@RikerGoogling I don't know exactly but probably is easier than how a warp drive works.
@RikerGoogling Mastodon is controlled by three primary main processing cores, cross-linked with a redundant melacortz ramistat fourteen kiloquad interface modules. The core element is based on an FTL nanoprocessor with twenty five bilateral kelilactirals, with twenty of those being slaved into the primary heisenfram terminal.
@exolinguist @RikerGoogling I heard the seventeen kiloquad interface modules were better, prime quality.
@RikerGoogling "You take the blue pill...the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in Wonderland. And I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
@RikerGoogling it is a decentralized social network. One shall find friends here and it will be good.
@RikerGoogling Remember that time Troi was running around the Enterprise Confused? That’s how. 👀
@RikerGoogling Very well thank you for asking. how do youse work? 🙋🏿‍♀️

@RikerGoogling

Mastodon is controlled by three primary main processing cores, cross-linked with a redundant melacortz ramistat. Fourteen kiloquad interface modules. The core element is based on an FTL nanoprocessor with twenty five bilateral kelilactirals, with twenty of those being slaved into the primary heisenfram terminal. Now you do know what a bilateral kelilactiral is?

@RikerGoogling you gotta make sure it's plugged in at the wall 👍🏻
@RikerGoogling you seem to have it figured out 👍
@RikerGoogling I am literally just trying to figure out how to change the cover photo
@RikerGoogling it works more than my boss does...
@RikerGoogling I have no damn clue, I have bird brain lol

@RikerGoogling
In case this is a legit question… :)

It works more intuitively in the Metatext app (for iOS), I feel. There, you can easily move between Mastodon’s 3 feeds.m, unlike in Mastodon’s native app.

Home: folks you follow
Local: folks on your server
Federated: everyone (like Twitter)

(I’ve heard the Tusky app on Android offers a similarly improved UI..?)

@RikerGoogling
Revision!
Federated isn’t “everyone” as I had thought. Alas.

Mastodon’s help page says:

“Federated: it shows all the posts of the members of your Instance and also the posts of people on other Instances that are followed by people of your Instance.”

Mastodon Help - Guide

A thorough introduction to Mastodon

@RikerGoogling I’m so glad you made it over here!
@RikerGoogling quite well, thank you for asking
@RikerGoogling idk but this app ain’t shi compared to Twitter, I’ve yet to see any good content, the whole servers thing is a bloody mess and stupid with incredibly limited interests available
@RikerGoogling if you figure it out please explain
@RikerGoogling As someone who grew up in the days of #USENET , this is highly reminiscent --- federated yet aggregated, with I am sure are delays between exchanges amongst servers.
@RikerGoogling That's the whole problem... Give it some
@accidentalciso .
@RikerGoogling why romulans in federation timeline
@RikerGoogling Step 1, find as many cats as you can. #mastocats
