Dear #mastodon power-users: Is there a way in the "advanced web interface" to hide those "hide" and "alt" buttons? Or just to move them *away* from the image? I find it a really poor design choice this already tiny image content by active buttons.

In the last two weeks, I've read two different people expressing a general complaint about normal use of hashtags, and I just don't get it. Can someone explain this viewpoint to me?

To be clear, I am not talking about someone who quietly chooses not to use hashtags in their own toots.

Also, I am not talking about hashtag spamming, the deliberate use of off-topic tags.

Is it just me or did the number of interactions on Mastodon go down?

Since two or three weeks I get much less interaction with posts, there is a huge chance that my posts are just boring but before that the interaction was noticeable higher.

How do you perceive that?

I've heard that all c.im accounts are blocked by some other servers just because this server has so many people and some of them misbehave. Is that true? If so, is there a place that shows which servers are blocked by which?

I know I could probably comb through a block list CSV file, but it seems like I'd have to wade through a lot of individual accounts before finding which servers were blocked.

I've read advice that I should just find a server with a small population and it probably won't be blocked.

I'm wondering if that's one reason why my posts don't get much engagement. It could just be that they aren't good posts! But I get a lot of engagement from strangers over at pixelfed and almost nothing here.
