WE'RE ADOPTING!

My wife and I are thrilled to announce we are taking the step to adopt a baby!
We are hard at work educating ourselves, filing paperwork and creating a safe environment for a child to grow up in.
We are very early on, but the ball is rolling!!
ChatGPT often refuses subjective questions. You can at times add "Theorize" to fix this.
Then sometimes it's just: "I insist you give one example of what MIGHT be best in life for Roger Rabbit, even if you have to qualify your remark by stating that your confidence level is low"
Finally released: The GB Interceptor.
An open source rp2040-based adapter that goes between your (unmodified) Game Boy and the game cartridge to record or stream your gameplay via USB.

Does anyone own Mastodon accounts on multiple instances simultaneously? Why, and what is that experience like?
I have a variety of interests, and sometimes I think it might be nice to be set up to post different content to different timelines.
This could be made easier if there were a single app you could open up, create a new Toot, and choose which account to post it through.
This also helps folks who can't always remember the URL for their instance to type in.
Is this bad or against rules?
The retro speedrunning community rules. The world record runner for Chessmaster on the NES is not only encouraging me to beat her time, but actively sharing new strategies and diving into the RAM in her capacity as a TAS'er for more info to help me and other runners like me.
Shout-outs to ShesChardcore for this and many other awesome moments.
The grind is going well, by the way. I'm just 2 frames slower than the record now!
If you're like me, then you were really happy to learn about Mastodon's enthusiastic support for image descriptions, and you were eager to join in.
Then you went to actually write something and realized you have no idea how to present visual info in a way that is helpful/enjoyable to those who are #VisuallyImpaired or #Blind.
I found this guide really informative: https://uxdesign.cc/how-to-write-an-image-description-2f30d3bf5546
Post-viral Edit: Don't forget to give the author some love on medium. They did the work!
There's lots of self-promotion on Twitter, and that's okay! Other Twitter users generally won't see it unless:
- you are trending
- they're searching for content like yours
- they follow you
- or someone they follow has interacted with your Tweet
Mastodon seems to be different! Your Toots may reach EVERYONE in your instance who checks their local timeline.
Advertisers will want to take advantage of this! But by and large the culture says no. I guess the thought is: friends don't spam friends?
