I made Korean chicken tonight. I use cornflour if I don’t have potato flour. I came across this dish on a taste of Asian tour in Sydney Chinatown our son gave us a few years ago. I use chicken thighs with skin on & deep fry with just 3cm oil & turn it. I do the double cook of the chicken as it’s superbly crunchy. This is an easy recipe of it I later found.

Spring Onion Korean Fried Chicken - Straight Outta Seoul

Spring Onion Korean Fried Chicken. This is hands-down my favorite KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) recipe! Skip to Recipe This recipe went viral in Korea a few years ago - virtually all chicken shops put it onto their menu. In Korean, it is called Pa-dak! Padak is chicken that is double-fried for an extra crispy skin. It is topped with thinly sliced spring onion and dressed in a sweet and tangy Asian dressing. What I love about this recipe is the mixture of flavors. First, you get the juicy chicken. We all know what that taste like. Then a refreshing kick from

@Cherie bookmarked this sounds great 😊
@weirdfishes wonderful. I’m also on the lookout for new recipes & am intrigued with your Ale Chutney. Would you mind sharing the recipe?
@Cherie the recipe is Pam Corbins from the River cottage preserve book this is the recipe and I heartily recommend the book it’s wonderful. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/hearty-ale-chutney-389417/amp
Hearty Ale Chutney

Season: October to January. Spices, onions, and a traditional malty ale give this robust, pub-style chutney plenty of character, while the natural sugars in the root vegetables help sweeten it. It is delicious served with farmhouse Cheddar, crusty bread, and a pint or two.

@weirdfishes thankyou. I must admit I needed to google what rutabaga was. A swede where I am. #Queensland #Australia
I usually make mango chutney in summer.
@Cherie oh yes a swede here too! That must be an American website the actual recipe in the book would have Swede! Love mango chutney but not so much a crop here in the UK😆
@weirdfishes mangoes are in season here now. I’m lucky living in Bundaberg where lot of #mangoes are grown along with #macadamias #sweetpotatoes #watermelon etc etc. it’s a great food bowl here. I dislike the seedless watermelon they grow more now. The old fashioned huge seeded ones are very sweet & juicy.
@Cherie wow how lovely to grow all those things. Watermelon 🍉 with seeds are one of my children’s favourite summer treats. We had our first frost of the year today so feeling very much not watermelon time!
