@RichardJMurphy Not sure how possible, or practical it would be to rejoin, but I hope we make inroads in that direction.
@Blueleafygreen @RichardJMurphy
It would take a long time and comittment from the UK but it would be possible
@RichardJMurphy A significant majority for rejoin despite the opposition if both main parties and most of the media. Imagine how big the lead would be if proper debate on this topic would not be constantly suppressed.
@RichardJMurphy I’m sure it’ll happen one day, no idea on how quickly though. We really can’t carry on like this.
@RichardJMurphy this is interesting because rejoin and Brexit wrong polling is similar- suggests people don’t understand that we cannot rejoin with the deal we had. We would lose the BOE being the biggest issue - maybe not immediately but we would need to commit to joining the Euro.
@admann @RichardJMurphy Not sure they'd make it an immediate condition - they haven't with other joining nations. I suspect that this could be a can that could be kicked down the road for a while until the flagshaggers are all dead and buried and nobody actually cares about it anymore, or FIAT currency as we know it is obsolete.

@RichardJMurphy

Why should the EU even consider re-admitting the UK after the abuse it received from English MEPs, Brexit racists and the breaking of agreements by the #ToryLiars

#FBPE #FBPR #GTTO

@RichardJMurphy first past the post is a big hindrance to rejoining the EU. From an electoral standpoint I believe Labour is rightly afraid of uniting the 34% behind the Conservatives.
@RichardJMurphy There feels like an opportunity for the Liberal Democrats here. The SNP became a juggernaut simply by being defined against a Labour/Tory joint policy, and Stay In The UK actually has support in the 40s...
@RichardJMurphy I personally think that we need to firstly need to slowly work on opening the debate with the public on the merits of joining the Single market before having the wider debate on rejoining the #EU. Unfortunately, the division and toxicity surrounding #brexit hasn’t gone away ☹️
@Sally_Bridge @RichardJMurphy not just that; also the fact that people dread the thought of going over the ground again. I'm strongly pro-EU, but I'm really keen to avoid the awfulness of the debates and propaganda.
@RichardJMurphy would they want us back?
@RichardJMurphy if there is another vote cannit not be anonymous this time so that the impact can be rejected in an individuals tax
@RichardJMurphy best way to grow the economy?
@RichardJMurphy Me no think EU member states would unanimously support UK’s re-entry.
@RichardJMurphy given the question, this really is quite remarkable. "Stay out" will include ex-remainers who don't want to rake over the past again, and a few who are still prepared to give it a chance.
This is different to the question "In hindsight, was it a mistake...", which would include such people on the EU side.
@RichardJMurphy would the EU wants us back with the Tories in charge?
And could the U.K. citizens accept the deal we would have to go with, which would be worse
@RichardJMurphy slowly getting to the level where enough people support rejoining that it can become an actual campaign. Needs to be a massive majority to make it happen, at least two thirds in support, without excluding don't knows.
@RichardJMurphy @warren_oates I disagree - the Brexit vote was only 30 something percent of the voting population and 52/48. Reversing it should not require any higher bar. #Brexit #Rejoin
@RichardJMurphy This seems to agree with other recent polls

@RichardJMurphy

My distant insignificant opinion is that they should never have joined in the first place, however, having joined they should have waited for the inevitable bust up when they would have been on the same terms as everyone else.

At least they weren't stupid enough to join the Euro.
