19 November 1941 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Benjamin Vischschoonmaker, was born in Amsterdam.

In October 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection together with his mother Sara.

How about using content warnings? I'd be sad to lose these altogether but I also would prefer not to have them quite as directly in my face as at the dead parrot social media. Cultural differences and all that.

@huu @auschwitzmuseum @juuhaa It will be almost a century now since this maddness happened, any many people are not aware of it, and many are even denying it ever happend. So @auschwitzmuseum is doing an important work to keep the memory alive, and giving a face to the victim is critical. Our personal sensitivities aside, we are grownups, and need to accept the facts, even when those are not rosy.
