I guess an #introduction is customary, so here goes:
Hi, I'm Nick Craver: amateur dad, still-can't-believe-she-married-me spouse, and software architect/developer these days working on some things in Azure that make a few million machines go round. Before that was Stack Overflow for about a decade. I also maintain some open source projects mostly in the .NET space (https://github.com/NickCraver) and have a passion for all things performance. I've been an SRE, network engineer, dev, DBA, etc. over the years.
I do what I do because it turns out the thing I'm decent at can save people time and none of us get nearly enough of that.
I used to share home building projects and might do so again, but realized I've been tired for a little while so...maybe a bit of a break before resuming any of that. I'm here because y'all are awesome, and love seeing what so many smart people are creating to improve the world for others.
