@Kayray right on and thank you.
the way mastodon is structured is like the opposite of other sites of its kind (which is a blessing).
Just have to reprogram myself a little lol
@ciaxeres that is how I feel too!
I like the moderators here. I have had some people not been not interested in talking which is fine. but the important difference here is no one has been hostile or seemingly try to harm me. which makes the shared space more sociable. it is just kind of nice.
@dharmadischarge
Hi! It does feel weird trying to cold start convo, doesn't it? Kinda like going in the real world and walking up to people and saying something like, "I like whales! What's your favourite animal?"
You mention metal... have you ever listened to The Hu (Mongolian folk metal band)? They're my most recent discovery and I'm on a mission to make sure everyone has heard of them before I die. (Wolf Totem's my fav)
PS - what's your fav animal?
@shans I have heard The hu I used to listen to Yuve Yuve Yu on repeat for hours. I have not heard Wolf Totem however I will check out that song in a minute.
I am listening now and I dig it.
Favorite animal (yes I am going to answer it lol) I love cats and always have but have not had a chance to have one as a pet because I have a lot of little breakables and I don't want to resent it for destroying them.
but my favorite is an Abyssinian guinea pig. they have personalities and are adorable.
@dharmadischarge
I'm delighted to hear this!
YES. Cats are extraordinary creatures. Sometimes I wonder if they've been more successful at domesticating *us* than the other way around. Cats and breakables really don't go well together, no.
I love the cowlicks on the Abyssinian guinea pigs! I know little about guinea pigs but used to have rabbits. I think rodents don't get enough appreciation.
@shans that is a good point about cats. I like that idea.
Rabbits are also really cool, I love most animals. I wish I was vegetarian but have yet to commit to it.
I had a really rough evening at a family get-together. give me a bit to get my head together and will message a longer reply.
@dharmadischarge
I might get into trouble for saying this but I think it's okay to live in the grey zone and do things like meatless Mondays and whatnot. I struggled hard to be strictly vegan for a few years. I'm that person I hated hahaha! I don't think it must be B&W.
Sorry to hear about that rough evening - take good care.
@shans I do meatless periods of time where I don't eat meat.
and it makes sense not for to not have to be Black and white because as long as we are trying to better ourselves and help others then we are doing the best we can.
and thank you. I just had to think about stuff and crash but am feeling a lot better today.
@keramikslu Hey, your work is gorgeous.
and clay is hard to work with.
@dharmadischarge in horror, hmm I like creepypasta-aspects in storytelling&creativity by voice, could be a thing with writing (but I'm no musician, nor artist in drawing still using photofiltre7 to edit covers maybe?)
could suggest itch .com games to try or or to play on kongregate, it possibly have indie-sections
recording theories in games might be some thing to dub by musical-lines?
btw: talks on jitsi/systemli-opensource or texting on similar virtual paper being cool too
