Think of people around the world tonight who need Twitter to get their voices heard, to document human rights abuses and injustices, to get attention, expose war crimes, and more.

All of them could be about to be cut off because the world’s richest man wanted to own the libs.

@mehdihasan twitter has been invaluable for building disabled communities. Lots of real work went into discussing and defining our place in society. It was a forum where many of us got to interact with other disabled people for the first time in their lives. Feels like akin to the burning of the library of Alexandria for disability culture. What a crime.
@Philipjames9 @mehdihasan so much agree. I’m part of a large community on Twitter for people with #type1diabetes. Just really hoping the #DOC (diabetes online community) finds its way to Mastodon.
@andricheli I’ve been a #T1D for 33 years, so we can start as a community of two 🙂💉
@RosaLSmothers @andricheli
I'll join to make a third!
@StephBoragina @andricheli We have a (diabetic) quorum! 😄💉
@andricheli @StephBoragina I don’t know about you two, but I am counting the days until Cost Plus Drugs includes insulin(s) in their offerings. Mark Cuban’s company is disrupting the Big Pharma/PBMs/pharmacy establishment that has kept insulin costs inexcusably, deadly high in the United States. Diabetics would no longer have to insulin ration; if they can sell insulin at an affordable rate (like the rest of the world) it would save lives.
