@caffeneko @kathygriffin When I lived on a boat I got pretty crazy about weather, but most people on land don't roll that way.
I've got a few sailing buddies on Facebook that are weather nuts, one guy does weather routing for offshore racers as a side job. So he's VERY informative.
Haven't found any on Twitter, but I'm a lot less weather-focused now that I'm off the water.

Hal Brown@kathygriffin One thing aside form living near Cape Cod that I miss since moving to Portland, Oregon from Massachusetts after my wife died is the extreme weather I had all my life having grown up in New York, and living Michigan. In Portland we have lovely days to travel in the countryside but crashing thunderstorms are rare and we hardly ever get more than an inch of snow in the Willamette Valley. I miss real blizzards with raging winds and three feet of snow which transform the scenery

Regarding weather, have you considered just using Weather Underground, The Weather Channel or other phone apps? I play outside a lot and absolutely live by their, very accurate, "pushed" microclimate/weather updates. Just a thought...
