I am having #fatigue issues. So this discussion with #BlackMastodon is gonna be an audio.

This audio is ABOUT experiencing racism here from white liberals,

especially those who don’t know the evolving definition of racism includes the system that keeps it in place.

Which does not exist for Black people.

So whatever race you are

save your “racist to white people” argument.

Shove “just use a Black instance” arguments.

The point is WE SHOULDNT NEED TO.

Audio follows in about 5 minutes.

Thoughts for Black people migrating to Mastodon.

@sivy thank you!
@Tinu no thank you for sharing in a way that I could benefit. 🙏
@Tinu Thank you for sharing this. My husband is listening, too. <3

@Tinu AHHHH TINU'S ON MASTODON

WELCOME 🙌

@Tinu got excited and posted before listening to the audio. Thank you for sharing, I am going to have to sit with this.
@SaveTheNeurotypicals It’s cool. not like I hate it here. It’s nice. But a lot.
@Tinu got nothing to say but "boost" and help others hear your voice. Thanks for putting in the effort (again) to explain this (again) to all us white people (again).

@Tinu

"If this shit was about logic, it would have been over and done with already." 👏 💯 👏

@Tinu thanks for sharing your truth 💙

@Tinu This is so important and so clearly explained.

I think it's also important to point out that if white people don't make space for all types of marginalised voices, *we* (white people) are the ones missing out. We just go on living in ignorance of what is really the majority, collectively, of human experience, knowledge, culture, history and everything else. I've never understood the appeal of this.

@lisae @Tinu worse? is been shown that that ignorance is actually deadly to us
@lfresh @Tinu Yes, ignorance + power is a deadly combination 😞. Always.
@Tinu thank you Tinu! Very clear and we need to hear this unfortunately. It’s important to realize that just because you don’t feel privileged, doesn’t mean you are not.
@Tinu I grew up in TX and I know of what you speak. Confederate flag was my high school flag (they finally retired it, very recently.) My blind spots have blind spots. Thanks for the lesson.
@jaskot Trapped in Texas now. Much appreciate your compassion.
