#RankedChoiceVoting would be a better indicator of what people actually want AND encourage both #Democrats and #Republicans to meet in the middle more often. Third parties could run without splitting the party they lean towards. We could vote for the people we want, not just AGAINST the people we don't.

We're very resistant to change. I don't think it will happen in my lifetime. But then, #Alaska has shown that it can be done. Maybe there's hope.

@TahaniNelson Define “meet in the middle”. Fiscally, both parties want the same thing (to serve their/billionaires/corporate donors pockets) at the expense of the working class. There also isn’t middle ground with authoritarian extremism and democracy.

Rank choice voting would break the corrupt duopoly and help launch a progressive challenger to the WH that will actually fight for the working class.

@nickg I guess I meant more that we would have less of a polarized system than we currently do. But it sounds like we're both on the same side for ranked voting, regardless.
@TahaniNelson It solves the problem of having a candidate we think would be best for the job, but doesn’t have “the support of the party.” If people are not afraid of “wasting” their vote we might get better results.
