As @Dahlialith noted yesterday, the Federalist Society is becoming overtly anti-journalist. Its board of directors has now voted that one of it’s cofounders should ask journalists who interview him not to identify him as a co-founder nor as co-chair of the board. Rather than link to a tweet, I’m linking to Above the Law, not generally one of my preferred sources, but fine for this. https://abovethelaw.com/2022/11/federalist-society-tells-founder-he-cant-call-himself-founder-in-purity-purge/ #LawFedi #Law
Federalist Society Tells Founder He Can’t Call Himself ‘Founder’ In Purity Purge

The revolution eats its children... the conservative legal movement eats its founder.

Above the Law
@heidilifeldman @Dahlialith wow. i hadn't seen this yet. thanks for sharing.
@heidilifeldman @Dahlialith I read about this earlier. It’s going to get nastier, I am sure. But this is pretty significant. Also, a very bad sign for upcoming SCOTUS season. We are in for some horrific shenanigans, I fear—that’s going to cause a significant amount of legal instability and longterm chaos.
@heidilifeldman @Dahlialith It seems like the Federist Society is what the conspiracy theory pushing right invented about the left - a secretive, unaccountable cabal of ideologues bent on capturing the U.S.

@YourNeighbor57 @heidilifeldman @Dahlialith

It usually seems to be:

- The left do this weird made up thing
- That's not fair
- We need to beat the left
- So let's also do this weird made up thing

-> Federalist society attempts state capture by extremist clique

@YourNeighbor57 @heidilifeldman @Dahlialith it's all projection with them. but sadly it works
