What's happening to kids right now in the US is a catastrophe. And the response from our leaders, well, doesn't seem to be rising the challenge.

The ‘tripledemic’ is sickening kids across America and straining hospitals, as a gift shop turns into a triage room and a hospital exec helps out in the ER

“I can still pass out blankets and give popsicles to kids” in the ER, one hospital COO, a board certified urologist, told Fortune. “It allows nurses to do what they need to be able to do—nursing.”

@gregggonsalves my son, in 5th grade at a public school, has had like 10 kids absent per day this week. His teacher has emailed the parents several times begging families to sent masks, and said her room has Covid, flu, and strep. There’s no mask policy in the school nor is there any official mechanism to inform families when there’s a Covid case in the class, we just happen to have gotten the literal one teacher that’s trying to give her classroom community some public health.
@gregggonsalves I can't get my son's dad to do even the simplest of things by having him wear a mask. We all lose in this scenario. Three bouts with COVID for certain for me. I don't know at what point it becomes reckless endangerment.

They're not leaders. They're parasites. The sicker we get, the fatter they grow.
