Kinda hard to watch people cheer on or shrug off the implosion of Twitter when, for a lot of us, it's our main source of work and a way to get the things we make seen by people we never would otherwise. Genuinely worried. Guess I'll just have to go back to selling art the traditional way, by charming a 17th century European monarch and being made the official court artist commissioned to paint his many mistresses as sexy nymphs in murals of Greek mythology

@Ciaraioch Don't give up too much on the idea of making sales here. I like peeking into the .art instance sometimes, and they talk what they can do make more sales on mtsdn

For the people who have found homes on mastodon.art in the past 1-2 weeks, how have you found the engagement here, compared to the other social networking sites you might be on? Are you finding that you have much more activity on your posts, even with far fewer followers, and a much smaller potential audience? Have you had more art sales or donations since you've been here than what you usually have elsewhere?
