Is this bad, cause it seems bad
@scottjshapiro Wow, talk about a horribly bad business decision. Maybe he'll make Twitter profitable or maybe not, but not how you want to start out.
@scottjshapiro I guess. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
@scottjshapiro thanks a lot woke mob cancel culture etc etc
@scottjshapiro it appears Icharus is uncomfortably close to the sun.
@scottjshapiro from my point of view, this is good news.
@scottjshapiro Excuse me for a moment while I get my microscope; I need to find the world’s tiniest violin
@scottjshapiro RIP Twitter and everything but this is kinda the part that’s more upsetting to me. Not a Musk fanboy but what he did in the electric car space was unprecedented. The stuff he’s doing now is just destroying the good he had done previously. Not good to see a 5% drop in share price for the largest electric car manufacturer
@scottjshapiro @ryan other than helping keep the company afloat during rough periods I’m not sure he personally did much.
@scottjshapiro
Actually, I think it’s great!!
@scottjshapiro I guess it depends on your perspective, eh? ;-)

@scottjshapiro

Twitter saga may have some effect on timing.

Tesla China seems like the main short and long term reason to sell.

Covid lockdowns in the short term and China-US tensions & Xi's economic policies in the long term.

(20% revenue comes from China)

@scottjshapiro
He’s on a mission (and may have been promised anything and everything by people set to benefit from said ā€œmissionā€)
(That and it would be surprising if he hadn’t a tax haven ā€œsafety netā€)

@scottjshapiro
There’s a lot to gain from those ashes
A lot to promise too

@stilldelvingh @scottjshapiro
He has nailed his colours to the mast.
Twitter may sink, but will be used as one last push to get people to vote for the Republicans.
Didn't he limit his moderation team down to 15 people to reduce risk of their political bias?
@scottjshapiro if I drove a Tesla, I would also sell my car before it’s bricked… It’s not just the shares at the stock market, but the whole ecosystem that is at risk if the company goes ch11.
@rasmus @scottjshapiro people really need to dump those fast and take the L
@scottjshapiro So is Elon going to name and shame all the investors that sold Tesla stock? Or perhaps Senator Cotton should open a senate investigation?
If my son's college fund held Tesla stock and dumped it, could I be called to testify?
😱
@scottjshapiro kinda glad I didn’t get a Tesla TBH
@scottjshapiro seems good to me. It means he needs to sell more Tesla stock if his loans get called in, which means he would control less, and increases the chance the board could force him out, which I would love to happen.
@scottjshapiro I can think of zero downside to Musk having less money, power, and influence.
@scottjshapiro I don't know, what's in the pic? (There's no image description so I have no idea, sorry.)
@scottjshapiro it's not bad until it drops by 5.4%
@scottjshapiro My understanding is that a lot of Tesla's valuation is a result of Elon's ability to hype it and himself — compared to other stocks it's overvalued. If the valuation rests on the notion that Elon is a genius, he's doing a good job to dispel the notion during his tenure so far helming Twitter. So basically it's a correction. The bursting of a bubble. Hope you didn't buy at 400.
@scottjshapiro The P/E ratio is still out of wack. A long ways to go...
@scottjshapiro Going by Telsa's P/E the share price is still about double what it should be, even for a high growth company...
