Terves is a plural of TERF, short for Trans Exclusionist Radical Feminist.
That's just transphobes who believes trans women are men in disguise to rape lesbians and trans men are women who just can't handle being a woman in a patriarcal world.
They are highly toxic and are known to even harass cis women who don't look exactly like they think cis women should look like (broad shoulders, long face, being tall... things like that...)
Their fights overlap a lot with alt-right ones, if not completly.

@platypusadmirer it’s tricky with the fediverse because replies don’t always show below a post as they don’t necessarily all reach the server your are on. One way to check is to open the public link of the post (if it’s public) to see everything that people publicly replied.

This is annoying UX. I'm guessing it's by design, to reduce the data your instance has to store. But I'm sure there'd be a way to view complete threads using the same plumbing a web browser uses. Posts that weren't already stored by the instance could be purged from the database if they're not viewed again within, say, 24 hours.

E.g. a user from other.instance makes a post, and your.instance don't block or silence other.instance. Then, a user from blocked.instance (which your.instance blocks but other.instance doesn't block) replies to the post on other.instance. You will be able to see the post on other.instance, but you won't see the reply from blocked.instance because your admin is deliberately blocking it from being processed on your.instance.
@delve That's one possible reason, there are others, eg someone has posted followers-only and you're not following them.
But there have been times when all such explanations could be ruled out. I think it's Mastodon policy not to reconstruct full threads if that requires showing posts that aren't already in your instance's database. Something to do with stopping people from seeing posts the author doesn't want them to see, through a third instance or something? 👋

@Br3nda i think we can write the same post about ableism, yes. Lots of disabled folks around, and anyone seen harassing them will be reported and isolated to the extent of my moderator rights, and I hope and demand that fellow admins and mods do the same.
