Hi Mastadon! My #introduction - I’m an illustrator/animator, currently Art Director at EA and have worked in mobile games for 11+ years. I am looking for my next work project!

@TQ Nice to meet you! What medium do you do plein air with? It's honestly my happy place and has been a social outlet and coping mechanism for me the past few years.

@katerado both acrylic paint and ink /watercolor. I enjoy acrylic paint way more, and I have worked there on a semi-abstract approach that makes me feel relaxed and enjoy the process.
With ink and watercolor I do (urban) sketching, which is not strictly the same, but it's close enough.

@TQ That’s awesome! I haven’t done much in acrylic. I used to use watercolor/ink a lot more but these days I’m all about gouache. I’m starting to get comfortable with oils but haven’t used them for plein air yet. I think I’ve learned more about color, value, and composition from going out plein air than anything else. And I have a pretty good group that I go painting with here in the Bay Area so it’s also a great social outlet.

@katerado that sounds wonderful! I often wish I had a group of ppl to paint with here, but currently, I don't. I should try to find like-minded artists in the area, but it's not an easy task somehow.
