@goodblue This is good news, of course, but does anyone buy that it was coincidental that Musk "just happened" to want it to go live tomorrow in the first place?

Was there some compelling business, marketing or technical reason why he HAD to start charging for fake verifications on 11/07/22 specifically? Obviously not since they're able to bump it by 2 days on a whim...

@charlesgaba @goodblue The whole thing screams election interference to me. I'm sort of concerned about what might happen here because it's hard to verify information over here.

@goodblue hopefully that is true because it will be a nightmare otherwise. #Musk wanted to do it Monday. He might have finally heard warnings from #twitter staff at the chaos that would follow.

@goodblue Probably GOP politicians asked Elon to do this because they are afraid of massive last minute trolling. Musk wouldn't listen to requests from anyone else.
