Can someone not-too-techy please explain how to to the rudimentary task of creating a bio in here, please and thank you
This is what I get when I try (screenshots)

@aussie okay your screenshots make it easy (I think).

Click the grey section under your name to fill in your bio, like where mine says *me and VampDog are escaping elon*

@aussie then your label/content. Click *Label* to add like where mine says nationality, then *content* to add like where mine says Australian/Indigenous.
@aussie then click add row to add another section and keep going like I have with pronouns/playlist etc.
@aussie try typing into the grey blob beneath your account name
@aussie this is what my filled profile looks like when editing.

@aussie not sure on Mastodon app.

I'm using the Tusky app for Mastodon which is more user friendly.

Tusky for Mastodon - Apps on Google Play

A client for the social network server Mastodon

@aussie then I just click my name or my picture to get to my profile, then the edit button. And if you compare what my profile looks like in first photo, to the editable fields in second photo, it should be pretty straightforward?
@Real_Daylight thank you, this looks do-able 👍

@aussie sorry, didn't see you were using ios, and they don't have Tusk.

Maybe try tootle, or ask for advice from iPhone users for the best app..

I found the Mastodon app quite clunky and I don't think it even shows you one of the three timelines.

‎Tootle for Mastodon

‎Appearance setting. Saving drafts. Regular expression matching for all timeline. Streaming. Tootle is a multifunctional Mastodon client, and above are examples of its features. Features === * Multiple Account Support - Support both accounts in the same instance and accounts in different instance…

@aussie write a post and tag it #introduction. Pin it to your profile. Put in as much or as little as you like.
@trib ok, yes I think that’s what I’ve seen others doing!! Cheers
@aussie mine is quite long (post and addition after), but probably so because I habitually overshare and tend to filter less than "normal".
