Today I finally enquired with someone about getting ADHD coaching, a mere 2.5 years after first getting diagnosed.

Also possibly of interest to others here: I found out that the UK's 'Access to Work' grant can cover support for #ADHD, as well as a broad range of other conditions and needs - and it's not means-tested.

I'll post an update down the line if I have any luck with an application.

Access to Work: get support if you have a disability or health condition

Get help at work, including an Access to Work grant, if you have a disability or health condition - eligibility, how to apply.

@alx that is great, hope you get some benefit from this and thanks for sharing.

I'd be interested in what you experience here as I'm currently waiting for a formal diagnosis, so would be good to know if it worth the future effort (the support and access to work part that is)

@cameraface I'll be sure to post on how things go. Are you on an NHS waiting list for an assessment? (I have been for over 3 years, but I cracked ages ago and stumped up for a private diagnosis. It's a shambles that they don't have the resources to see people sooner than that.)

@alx yes, NHS waiting right now. I did look at private, but could not find a place I was happy with at the time, so left it.

Thanks for sharing, I'll look forward to hearing more when it happens
