Also possibly of interest to others here: I found out that the UK's 'Access to Work' grant can cover support for #ADHD, as well as a broad range of other conditions and needs - and it's not means-tested.

I'll post an update down the line if I have any luck with an application.
Talked to the #ADHD coach today, who gave me more detail about the UK's Access To Work scheme. Key points that people might find useful:
- They have a backlog, so expect about 4 months from application to decision
- It shouldn't matter that my diagnosis was private: some applications are successful even without a diagnosis
- A typical grant would cover 20-30 hours of coaching in a year
- It could also include £ for software; and for a job aide to help with tasks that are a particular struggle.
Finally heard from someone about my application for the UK's Access To Work grant - 4 months to the day from when I submitted it. It was only to set up an initial call, but glad to see things are moving.
For those who don't know about the scheme, it's to assist people with disabilities - or physical or mental health conditions - with support at work and with finding work. (In my case, I'm hoping it will cover the cost of #ADHD coaching).
A bit more info upthread for anyone interested.
@alx that is great, hope you get some benefit from this and thanks for sharing.
I'd be interested in what you experience here as I'm currently waiting for a formal diagnosis, so would be good to know if it worth the future effort (the support and access to work part that is)
@alx yes, NHS waiting right now. I did look at private, but could not find a place I was happy with at the time, so left it.
Thanks for sharing, I'll look forward to hearing more when it happens
