Just came across this gem from 2021, just the kind of thing I adore
(Warning for EC in video)
I saw the extended trailer for this new film today, looks like a good watch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCxnmfdxJ6s
Kim Hyun-Joo is a great actress for the lead role (I enjoyed her roles in both "Watcher" and "undercover" of late) and writer/Director Yeon Sang-Ho made both "The Cursed" and "monstorous" 2 supernatural drama's that were right up my street too.
It looks rather video-game style, but given that I'm playing through Neir: Automata which has themes of AI, machine life and future combat it seems like a timely release.
(as a side note both the above actress and director are also working on a supernatural K-Drama as well called "Sunsan" which I'll be checking out)

My favourite album this year is the synth wonderland of "Chalk Sketches" by Cate Brooks.
A meander through many moods and styles, a little bit of something from all her musical guises mixed in to make a nice varied listen. I have turned to this album on more than a few occasions to relax with or seen me through some tougher moments, it's been very reliable.

It was a close choice for best album this year as two other album's were on repeat alongside this, but just got edged out (Tresor by Gwenno and Maritime by Cate Brooks)

In no real order and I have limited to 1 song per artist for length / clarity

A new artist for me that soundtracked my summer perfectly.
Descifrar by Maye

This was the first song I'd heard by Maye and has a lush dreamy melancholic pop sound.
I took a big liking to her other works and although she has not many songs so far its certainly quality over quantity.
I'll do a list of the other 2022 songs soon
