#opensource will be used for #digitalization at Gymnasium Hittfeld - no matter which project. To name just a few: Ubuntu for pupils' notebooks, Nextcloud or BigBlueButton for videoconferencing.
For the graduation class 2021, it was obvious and extremely helpful to use open source software for their #Yearbook.

Even though the prejudice is often mentioned that free software is only for IT nerds and not suitable for practical use, the yearbook editors have proven that using free software can work excellently. In contrast to expensive #closed-source services such as #microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, etc., anyone from the editorial team can work with it - without having to rely on expensive subscriptions in advance.
