@TheRedGambit My choice of history books vary, depending on what I find in bookstores. Sometimes I peruse the bibliographies of books I read, to see if something catches my attention.
But the topic I've read the most about is World War 1.
I'm not too keen on reading outside history genre. I did enjoy some historical fiction though: A Gentleman in Moscow (Amor Towles), The Historian (Elizabeth Kostova).
But roughly 90-95% of what I read in a year are history books.
@adgaps Thats awesome! My split is more like 80% literature, 20% history books.
Specifically, I quite enjoy learning about ancient Rome, Greece, the hellenistic period, and the life of alexander the great.
I have been interested in getting into WW2 lately tho, I have a copy of "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by will shirer thats been staring at me for the past 2 years
