I usually enjoy #cycling in the #rain but today, in addition to a persistent precipitation, there was a blustery #wind #gusting up to about 70 km/h from the #south. There were a couple of moments on my ride home where I felt a little unsafe and unstable in the saddle at higher speeds. On a side note, I ought to add that #waterproof #overtrousers are an absolutely brilliant invention.

I wish some fellow cyclists didn’t think they were ninjas or some sort of stealth combat outfit. Why else would they dress in black at night and have no lights either? If I have difficulty spotting them, how do they expect motorists to do likewise?

@mkwadee
I can see both sides.
Sometimes I do *not* want to be seen. Many motorists are target fixated. Drawn to what catches their eye. They can literally drive into you.
They are easier to predict when the are not trying to figure out what you are doing.

So on the motorbike, lights but no high viz.

Running on a footpath. Stealth black

Running on a road, directable lights (headtorch)

Bicycle, a mix depending on the type of road and situation.

At the end of the day, whatever makes you 😀

@mkwadee Don't worry too much about them. They won't be around for long :-)
@rah I fear they may be subject to Darwinian evolution. 😐
