I'm using ActivityPub with our team in a P2P manner now. Experimenting with combos of P2P and federations. This identity I am tooting from now is a one of many in social.coop. @bhaugen is just me, P2P, federated with a few other personal pubs and also social.coop and all the other multi-person sites addressed in this toot.

@bhaugen @cwebber @fr33domlover @dansup @bhaugen hi all, just a drive by comment to mention #ForgeFed, which is speccing out Version Control System vocabulary on top of #ActivityPub.

I think ActivityPub is a great start to #decentralize/#redecentralize, but getting deep into collaborating on the same works is going to require more extension. forgefed has high potential in to advance our ability to work together.

@sum heck heck heck yes. i have something fuse-like , in the 'everything is a file'/9p variety, that I am also really excited to get going. could not be more excited & happy to hear other experiments on this front!

atm still doing some ground work on libraries & don't have activitypub related stuff to show off yet. soon! do you have a repo?

@sum i fully fully agree that getting things into filesystem space is a really flexible way of unlocking people's creativity, encouraging them to hack things in all sorts of neat manners. #EndUserProgramming ftw!

we need to liberate compute from the application.

@sum like, i think this is the core agenda that's missing from "The Software Disenchantment"… i adore @tonsky & he does such amazing work, but Disenchantment comes off as a bunch of grumbles with how applications treat us, & bad aspects about them.

but to me there's this overall badness that the core of most software is self-defined, is on-rails applications- a bunch of "wizards" to step through to do the thing. 9p/fuse folk have a much stronger bead on #PositiveComputing, on #FreeAsInYourMind by default.
