@[email protected] is 1 of the greatest finders of form & truth, explaining the shape of reality. That this post literally goes into programmers as priests is epic.

My hope is that we can go further. That we can de-esotericize & open up some of the genuine connection we, at the moment, so uniquely have. I believe in scaling compute beyond the current programmer.

@[email protected] i tend to think software kind of has to be remade anew, with a new #FreeAsInYourMind default undergirding it from the start. https://cybre.space/@jauntywunderkind420/102124785201870197 we need an extropic basis for software & compute to happen in. atm most software is some kind of application or web application, most of which look at externalizing state as a remote secondary function. we have to fight entropy by jamming the door open, being external facing to the core.

@[email protected] like, i think this is the core agenda that's missing from "The Software Disenchantment"… i adore @tonsky & he does such amazing work, but Disenchantment comes off as a bunch of grumbles with how applications treat us, & bad aspects about them. but to me there's this overall badness that the core of most software is self-defined, is on-rails applications- a bunch of "wizards" to step through to do the thing. 9p/fuse folk have a much stronger bead on #PositiveComputing, on #FreeAsInYourMind by default.
