Does anyone know if anyone from #CreativeCommons has set up a #PeerTube instance to promote #CC licensed media yet?
@strypey that's possibly my next step... although it looks like Piwigo might meet my video hosting needs, too...
@lightweight not sure how well PT would work for image hosting. It's not really set up for galleries either, is it? Or were you thinking of hosting video separately from your image galleries? PT has come a long way, I'd definitely recommend putting any public video on it. See my recent posts about testing on a couple of instances.
@strypey keen to learn from your experiences. Looks like I should be able to store and serve up my video from Flickr on Piwigo by including a couple extensions (videojs and a couple others). I've also made a Docker Compose setup for Piwigo: https://git.nzoss.org.nz/lightweight/docker-piwigo

@lightweight my testing is all from a user POV so far. Maybe I'll finally get into playing with servers this winter?
@strypey nice thing is that setting up a DigitalOcean instance for a few hours costs a dollar or two to try stuff... maybe less. But you need a credit card... I'm going to be doing video tutorials on implementing one or more of my solutions for various #FOSS services sometime soonish for my @[email protected] work...
@lightweight I've got an account at #CloudAtCost for testing, and a voucher for #CatalystCloud I got at an event and haven't used yet. Video tutorials would be great! Love to see them on a #PeerTube site, for sure.
