The legendary collaboration between #FrankZappa and #CaptainBeefheart. This is the original album with bonus tracks, plus the two full Austin concerts in that #Zappa recorded. Fantastic! Essential.
Oui ça s'arrête brutalement, ils enchaînent avec un Camarillo Brillo d'une incroyable énergie.
Ce morceau est un film sans images, les paroles sont soulignées par de petits bruits évocateurs façon cartoon.
Là aussi ça va s'arrêter brutalement, le morceau suivant étant Muffin Man, mais instrumental (si on ne tient pas compte des cris de George et de Napoleon) et encore plus énergique.
Ces 3 morceaux justifient l'achat du coffret 50e anniversaire.
Aucun lien avec le pouet précédent, voici The Torture Never Stops.
La version originale bluesy inspirée de Smokestack Lightnin' d'Howlin' Wolf et chantée par Captain Beefheart.
Je soupçonne Franky d'avoir écrit cette chanson pour le Captain tellement ça colle avec sa voix, son style et ses paroles souvent sombres.
Cette version figurait déjà sur un album, mais amputée de la fin, le solo de guitare de Zappa qu'il a dû trouvé insatisfaisant...
