JukkaI’m not finished with irises just yet. After I had photographed the Siberian iris I mentioned yesterday, I remembered that I had seen yellow flowers that looked very similar. I realized that I did not have any photos of them yet so I decided to go and find them the next day. Fortunately it wasn’t too difficult.
This is a yellow iris, rather unsurprisingly. Unlike the Siberian iris, the yellow iris is native to Finland and a quite common plant growing next to water. We call it “kurjenmiekka” (crane’s sword).
