The #FM filters on the "newer" D-808 are great. I live <10 miles (<16km) away from a 107.7 tower, and it blows out most radios, showing up all over the dial. Sometimes, it comes out of fans, lightbulbs, and other random electric devices.
107.7 stays in its lane on the #D808, and frequencies near it are even tunable.
The morning routine for me, after the fur babies are catered for is a nice pot or two of fresh coffee. Its a passport to tranquility for me. If its coolish in the morning, this is taken outside, that together with my D808 radio. Which I usually tune to 13264kHz, Shannon Volmet. Why ? Well two reasons, if I can hear it, propagation is fair to good (I use the telescopic antenna) and secondly, I get to hear what localised weather conditions are.

I just ordered a #XHDATA D-219 portable AM/FM/SW #radio.
This radio covers 9 #shortwave bands:
4.75-5.0 MHz
5.0-5.4 MHz
5.4-5.8 MHz
6.1-6.4 MHz
6.4-6.8 MHz
7.2-7.5 MHz
9.0-9.5 MHz
11.7-12.1 MHz
13.5-13.8 MHz
The following bands are covered on #FM and #AM:
FM: 64-108 MHz
AM: 522-1620 kHz
I am rather excited to see what this $7 radio is going to offer. I've always liked shortwave radios but, haven't played with it for years.
#XHDATA D-219... $7-13 USD?????????????
I know it's an "analogue" portable which is actually a DSP set tuned by knob and a latte dial, with no SSB... maybe there's something else wrong with it? π
