But well Switch 2 versions are already controversial as it is… granted I don’t think a Switch 2 version of XC2 will happen and I think all switch 2 versions of pre NS2 games have been revealed and honestly XCX 2 or XC4 is more likely… but now of course that I’ve said this I’m fully prepared for the Post Switch 2 launch direct to be like “here is XC2 Switch 2 Version” just to prove me wrong…

I think for me it’s fine XC2 is a one file game so starting a new play through on a new console isn’t horrible especially for the QOL features and while I do like Torna I mean it’s not like I can’t play it on my Switch 1 so I wouldn’t repurchase it on Switch 2 and honestly most people would either transfer all Switch data to Switch 2 or not care…

But given how the general public has reacted to other Switch 2 versions I can’t imagine a XC2 Switch 2 version being well received or something anyone really wants… like it’s either going to be $70 US with very minimal QOL improvements (example the Nopon Archsage has all the gacha rare blade core crystals available once you beat the game [with exception to the New Game + Blades]) or it’ll be $80 US and you get an epilogue included. Torna will regardless not be included…
With the Switch 2 being a few days away (even though I won’t be getting it day 1) I’m gonna rant about something I’ve seen on occasion… now I’ve always been opposed to a “Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Definitive Edition” on the backwards compatible Switch 2 and while I do have some issues with Switch 2 versions I have warmed up more to the idea of a Switch 2 version of XC2
