I finally gave in and have a #Machinist #x79 system board, cpu and RAM on order. At $60 I think it's worth the gamble. If the board supports a more powerful CPU and more than 16GB of RAM, that's a bonus. But the defaults are fine. It has to be faster than my current 2nd generation i7.
