Sunday arvo bushwalk part 1.
Doing a bushwalk up in Sherbrooke forest and decided to visit Sherbrooke falls from grants picnic ground and come back via hill climb track. Awesome new art work at the bottom behind the Micawber Tavern.
This land has been home to my family for five generations. It has been home to the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people for tens of thousands of years.
My ancestors came here as part of a colonial project. Our enjoyment of this land rests on the forcible dispossession of its traditional owners. Sovereignty was never ceded.
Native title for the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people? Yes please!
It’s way past time to acknowledge our histories. Let us care for this living land together.
