Looks like @opensuse [1] are the next company evaluating whether to retain 32-bit Arm support.
Both of the main projects I work in - @nodejs [2] and #Temurin by @eclipseadoptium [3] have stopped building for it in recent releases.

How much use are you making of 32-bit Arm systems these days? Is 32-bit still relevant anywhere in 2025? #WorksOnArm

It didn't tip over overnight, that's good.

My shopping list for a proper work-supported server involves picking out a domain name. It could be anything in *.worksonarm.com or it could be worksonarm.* (.social?)

I'm a tad nervous about what kinds of things a federated server might pick up from feeds that would be off-brand, but I suppose that risk is anywhere on the internet.

It would be useful to syndicate in some feeds of things that are currently going to Slack. I hope that this effort will be additive to Slack, and not dilute.

#worksonarm
#arm64

I set up a #Pleroma instance with the felicitous (and very temporary) name https://df5be497.packethost.net . I think I"m @ed2 there. It will probably go away once it's outlived its temporary usefulness.

The broader goal is to configure a less temporary instance where I can be all #arm64 and #worksonarm all the time, relegating that to a worksona that's completely on brand.

#pleroma runs on Erlang and Elixir (new to me) and thus should make good use of high core count, weak core machines.
