Tip of the week for drying your work: whenever you doubt if the clay is dry enough to bisque fire without a change of exploding, weigh it! Daily, at the same time.

Water evaporates out of the clay, so it loses weight each day. When the weight differs only a few grams it's good to go into the kiln.

And now with the wild clay from the Netherlands. I am very curious about the end result, the clay will look completely different after firing. Lighter with a lot of interesting layers. Can't wait! But I have to, because it has to dry first ;) don't want anything to explode now!
