NEW: On 4/7, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., #RIDOT is scheduled to close Providence Street (Route 33) over I-295 at the Providence Street Bridge in #WestWarwick for bridge work.
During the closures, motorists are advised to follow signed detours using Route 2, Route 113 (East Avenue) and River Street to connect New London Avenue and Providence Street. Local access will be maintained on Providence Street and New London Avenue.
NEW: On 4/1 and 4/2, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., #RIDOT will close Providence St. (Route 33) over I-295 at the Providence Street Bridge in #WestWarwick for bridge work. The closure will allow RIDOT to install supports under the Providence Street Bridge to prepare for the demolition and reconstruction of its center pier. RIDOT is replacing this structurally deficient bridge.

NEW: On 1/16/24, #RIDOT will conduct a series of overnight closures of I-295 for placing steel beams for the new Providence Street Bridge in #WestWarwick.
The closures will take place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on nights during the weeks of 1/14 and 1/21 as follows:
1/16-18 and 1/21: I-295 S closed at Exit 3A (Route 37 E). Drivers should follow Route 37 East to I-95 S. The on-ramp to I-295 S from Route 2 S near the old Rhode Island Mall/Midland Commons will remain open. I-295 North will remain open.
1/22-25: I-295 N closed at Exit 1B (Route 2 N). Drivers should remain on I-95 N to Route 37 West to I-295 N. Alternatively, drivers exiting onto Route 2 N can follow the road to Route 37 W to I-295 N. Exit 1A (Route 113 W) will remain open. I-295 S will remain open.
