Got my film back! We Ride Flanders (128km) on 35mm. Decided to pick up a not so cheap disposable camera (€20) to capture some bits of Flanders.

Beginning to think that Belgium is my favourite European country and this ride has certainly cemented that further. Enjoyed the cobbles, the weather certainly held out and managed the last two best known climbs Kwaremont and Paterberg without stopping. Longer route for 2026?

Keep smiling, and fighting, and enjoying! #WeRideFlanders

Survived #werideflanders. Also calculated I consumed about 500g of carbs during it. That’s probably related.

Done. And still feeling fine. After 159km and ~2,000m ups & downs, with 22.5 km/h average. So lucky with the weather. What a good Saturday :) #Cycling #WeRideFlanders

A8. I have never made or used a cue sheet, but this cue sheet is my favourite. Provided by the organisers of the #WeRideFlanders sportive (essentially the route of the Tour of Flanders race) as top tube stickers.

Mine has its place stuck to my bike repair stand.

Good sunday ride today around the Brabantse Pijl with twice the Moskesstraat & Huldenberg - last proper training for me before #WeRideFlanders, with good weather :)
The track for the #WeRideFlanders cycling came in. Did not check out yet all the cobbles and hills.. #bikelove #cycling
Afterwork ride in the dark after a full week of evening work events. Tired but happy, and the F3 was easy to ride, and #WeRideFlanders is approaching fast... #Cycling #BikeLove

*plots the logistics to riding to #CfgMgmtCamp from Sheffield*

Well, part of the way, London->Dover, Dunkirk->Gent. Certainly would be training for #WeRideFlanders. But also seemingly more expensive than just driving (and fewer options to stock up in the French supermarket on my return).

@bazzargh That sounds very unfortunate.

I have ridden it twice on my best bike. The only incident occurred when the cobbles shook open my saddle bag zip and some contents fell out. I retrieved some but lost a multitool and a T-30 key. Since then, I’ve used saddle bags that have closure clips.

It must be quite lucrative for the locals near to the first cobbled sections! I saw bike computers and lots of bottles that had fallen off and not been retrieved.
