I managed to feel recovered enough from my end-of-week cold to be somewhat functional today. I got out (masked ofc) to a hardware store to get a couple of fixtures and boxes and replaced a poorly-setup fixture and switch in the furnace room.

More of that for tomorrow – pacing myself here. Another fixture and jbox to change and that'll give me the slack and config I need to put a controllable switch on an outside receptacle, finally.

It is with a heavy heart that I must accounts the retirement of my #WeekendReport

I know, I know... but please, stifle those tears.

Why? What could have brought things to such a state? Well, the joke wasn't very good, and also I kept forgetting what it was about, or whether to post it at all.

That's no good!

But still, I do feel kind of a desire to do a "weekend thing" and was inspired by earlier M:tG-related commentary, so...

I shall blog about #TalesOfAncientGeekery ! I have an anime origin story in my bio (we'll get there) but what about the rest? Where did such a superhero come from?

This tale will not be told chronologically, but to begin, I suppose we must, indeed, start at the beginning.

My #WeekendReport because there is totally a lot of weekend left and I totally didn't purposefully put it off on the 4th because it was not the weekend and on the 5th because I was back at work and it still wasn't the weekend and then completely forgot about it during the weekend:

Weekend report: Went largely AFK from Friday until this afternoon. After calls finished on Friday, I headed out to a second viewing of the "Guardians of the Galaxy", then coming home to watch "Beef" on Netflix with the missus.

Saturday was mostly spent doing yard work and cleanup around the complex before heading out to NY/NJ this Tuesday. Finished "Beef" last night. (It goes into solid A24 territory toward the end.)
