The 11th Accessibility Camp Bay Area in San Francisco at GitHub headquarters was a great experience. It was my first time attending, and the seven-hour train ride to get there was absolutely worth it.
I had the opportunity to meet the legend himself, Jennison Asuncion, and I was able to network with so many people throughout the day during breaks between sessions, during the talks, and especially at the after-party.
I will definitely attend again next year, and I encourage everyone in the Bay area and across California to attend, especially if you're a baby like myself in the web accessibility field and trying to break into the industry. The networking opportunities are incredible, and the sessions provide a wealth of accessibility knowledge.  #A11yCampBay #WebAccessibility

Help me, #wcag nerds. Site has many pages that are long lists of links, under headings. Links are often PDFs, Word docs, Powerpoint decks, etc. Getting some pushback on including document icons because it’s “too cluttered/overwhelming.”

My brilliant solution: only show the document icons on hover/focus. (Icons will also have text equivalents.)

Brilliant? Stupid? Accessible? Abject folly? I need opinions, please!

⚠️ Flashing and rapidly blinking content is more than a design issue, it’s an accessibility compliance risk.

Excessive motion can:
🚫 Violate WCAG seizure safety guidelines
📋 Fail accessibility audits
⚖️ Increase legal & compliance risks

With Accesstive, these risks are detected and documented before they become liabilities.

600+ million people write right-to-left: 2 fixes your app needs—Martian Chronicles, Evil Martians’ team blog

Arabic, Hebrew, and other right-to-left script users often can't type properly in apps that never considered them. The fix is usually two HTML attributes. Here's exactly what to add, and when.

🌍 Global Accessibility Awareness Day highlights a global issue. But for businesses, accessibility is not just awareness, it is operational and legal exposure.

Failures often happen in:
🎨 Interface design
⚙️ Development implementation
🚀 Production deployment

With Accesstive, issues are found, fixed at code level, and documented for proof. ✅

Because accessibility is not optional messaging. It is regulatory accountability
