A Triad of Tankas

An approaching storm
The sky fills with roiling clouds
We wait for the rain
Inside I long for release
My body locked up within

There is a slight wind
I can see the leaves moving
They can sense the change
I lift the glass to my lips
I drink and dream of cold rain

Radar shows nothing
But my app says rain will form
I look up with hope
My inner clouds will unwind

Learned this morning that there’s a notable difference between feels like -35 and feels like -19. Not much, but a difference, and that makes all the difference.
