The Finborough Theater is releasing a free livestream of their production “Remember Your Lovers", based on the poetry of Sidney Keyes, an immensely gifted poet who died much too young during the Second World War.

When I was working on the Salamander Oasis Trust website with Victor Selwyn, Victor chose Keyes’ poem "War Poet" as one of the 'flagship’ poems for the site.

Livestream available from 15 August:

REMEMBER YOUR LOVERS – The Poetry of Sidney Keyes – Finborough Theatre

the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre presents plays and music theatre, concentrated exclusively on thought provoking text-based new writing, as well as rediscovering genuinely neglected works from the 19th and 20th centuries

"Several writers said poetry had proved to be the literary genre best suited to war. Unlike novels, it can be written quickly, allowing poets to react to the daily tragedies of conflict and crystallize fleeting emotions in a few stanzas."
